pdf-combiner.com is a free PDF toolkit that runs entirely in your web browser. You can combine, split, compress, rotate, organize, and convert PDF files — and nothing you work on is ever uploaded, because every operation happens on your own device. No account, no watermarks, no artificial limits.

1. Who we are

pdf-combiner.com is built and operated by ZIX DEV Inc, a small, independent software company incorporated in Delaware, United States (1111B S Governors Ave STE 40023, Dover, DE 19904). There's no large organization behind the site: ZIX DEV builds focused web software, and this PDF toolkit is one of those products. We keep it deliberately simple — a handful of tools that each do one job well, without asking for an email address first.

2. Why everything runs in your browser

Most free online PDF tools upload your file to a server, process it there, and send the result back. For many documents that's fine. For contracts, medical records, financial statements, or a scan of your ID, it means handing a sensitive file to someone else's server just to merge a few pages.

pdf-combiner.com exists to remove that trade-off. Every tool on this site does its work locally, inside your browser, using open-source PDF libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, JSZip) that we host ourselves. Your files are never sent to us: the app has no upload step, no file you work on is ever uploaded or transmitted off your device, and we run automated tests before every release to confirm that no file data leaves the browser. Close the tab, and whatever you loaded is gone.

The honest tradeoff: because processing happens on your device, speed and maximum file size depend on your hardware, not on a paid tier or a daily quota. Very large files can be slow — or run into memory limits — on older machines. We think that's a fair exchange for never uploading anything.

3. The tools

The whole site works in seven languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, and Arabic — with full right-to-left layout for Arabic.

4. How we write our guides

The blog on this site is written in-house. Every article is original, and every claim about how a tool behaves is checked against the real product before we publish. When the honest answer is "this tool can't do that" or "a different approach fits your case better," we say so.
